The Afternoon of the Particularly Cute Day

Pony tail all wobbie jawed, and although you can't see, it there is a smudge of dirt on her face. Her nails were absolutely grotesque with dirt all up under them because, as she said, "I digged in de durt." One very fun day at pre-school shown in the happy dishevelled child.
Here she is working on her art work. She draws the circles or whatevers and then cuts them out. I haven't found a use yet for her cut outs though with a little creativity I might come up with something.

Beverly ~ I totally save those cut-outs for yet another useless art project. (Did I say useless? I meant useFUL... Really! Maybe not.) But I give her butcher paper and paste and let the Tongginator go to town creating collages. We also try to make mosaic collages at times, turning the cut-outs into recognizable objects. Never works, but the effort is there!

oh it was a cute day!

I am terrible about throwing things away. I can't stand clutter, The minute they cut I throw away when they aren't looking;)

Looks like she had an exciting day at preschool. I would hang on to the cut outs with hopes of finding something to do with them.

Her beautiful hair is SO long! That's a side note... what I was going to tell you is that whatever you/she does with the cut outs, the drawing and cutting are great for her development and fine motor skills.
My kindergarten teacher wanted to hold me back because I couldn't cut a circle. I'd still be there because at 29 I STILL can't cut a perfect circle (or anything else for that matter... I think it's a lefty thing).

Maybe she can make a collage with the cut-out pieces? Glue them onto something? Decorate coffee tins and turn them into something else?
And I love the pony tails!

Dear Beverly,
Girl! You is one smaaaaaaaahhhht lady!!!! And well informed!!!! I am duly impressed. :) And when you figure out what lovely project to make out of the cut-outs, I want to see it. :) Your sweetie is so lovely! Those long locks...I'm jealous. Gracie came home quite dissheveled from preschool as well...I guess they all had a great day! And, Beverly, thank you for your encouragement! I WOULD totally write a book, if I had enough to say about any ONE thing rather than just a bit to say about a THOUSAND things...and if there would be more guaranteed buyers than just you and me and my parents. :) But thank you! You made my evening. Have a good time watching the debates!

I too throw away things! Maybe you could laminate some of them and make them bookmarks for Christmas!
