Do You Hear the Whales?

Last night I asked G a question and she said, "Huh?" I said, "Do your ears have water in them too?" She told me that they didn't. I told her that I was listening through the ocean.
She said, "Do you hear the whales?"
I said, "No, why would I hear whales?"
She said, "Well, whales live in the ocean."

Sometimes I forget how literal kids can be.
