Webzine for Nurses

Scrubs a webzine for nurses is a great site for up to date information on things like privacy do's and don'ts, scrub styles, nurses portrayed in the media/TV shows like Nurse Jackie, and other great information to aid nurses in living the good life. Nurses can nominate fellow nurses for "Nurse of the Week" letting all who see the site know just what a difference nurses make in our world. It is a very friendly site in appearance, lots of positive energy with a calming influence as well.

This week's nurses poll for fun is "What Nurse TV Show Will You Be Watching?" I suppose for nurses the medical TV shows are fun to watch to see the Hollywood version of what they do daily. I would watch it more to pick out the errors TV medical staff do that would really kill someone if it weren't on TV. But that is just the cynic in me.

Scrubs highlights the newest fashion in summer scrubs (this edition). I never really thought of scrubs as being fashionable. Apparently, new collections come out each season by designers such as Kimmora Lee Simmons. But lest you think this is all nursing all the time, summer fashion outside work is also discussed/highlighted. This is an all around magazine/webzine for nurses in and out of work. What a great support for nurses who live and work in a challenging and rewarding profession.

Great article on nail care for nurses, but not just for nurses, give great tips to be used by anyone for great hands. Several good points are made about using parafin to help keep hands moiturized as well as a good lotion recommendation for the same. The tips come with product recommendations that will not break the budget. This is very timely since most hospitals frown on arylic nails or nail tips due to germs, and nurses are always washing their hands for good reason. Nursing itself is a profession that is very hard on hands. The author of this article is the owner of one of New York's top salons. So you know the info is good!
