G dressed as a cowgirl last night to go to my parents' church's fall festival. She was able to wear her jeans to school and the rest was easily picked up by my dad on the way home from school pick up. The zombie from Sunday required make up and full change of clothing so we couldn't really pull that off again. That is okay though because she was able to do two completely different costumes this year. We have really had a run of making or coming up with costumes since G has been home. Oh the first two years were so easy: cheerleader, because G had no opinion.
Here are some from the past: 2012,
2010 aquarium, probably my most creative idea,
2008 evening, artist,
pre-school party 2008 during the day,
2007 birthday cake,
2006. I don't have one from 2005 because I started blogging in 2006.
Also, you may notice there is not one from 2009. After the 2008 fiasco, she didn't participate because she refused to wear a costume. Surprisingly, she was absolutely fine with not going out that year. This year even between both churches, G did not bring home a lot of candy, thankfully. Maybe people are wising up and realizing most of the candy gets tossed so they aren't giving out as much. I did hear that candy and decoration purchases were down this year for Halloween. It may just be the Obama-economy too.
